On June 18, 2026,the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine considered the issue “On the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2021-2026 and prospects for its development”. The Director of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogic Sciences, Professor IrynaDrach, made a report on the activities of the scientific team. The head of the Commission, director of the V. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogic Sciences, Professor LarysaBerezivska, spoke on behalf of the Commission.

The principled and multifaceted discussion of the issue was also attended by members of the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, First Vice-President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine VolodymyrLugovyi, Academicians-secretaries of the departments of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Petro Saukh, SvitlanaSysoeva, VitaliyPanok, Members of the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Oleg Spirin, VolodymyrKamyshyn, Oleksiy Chebykin.The discussion was summed up by Academician VasylKremen, the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

The scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the Institute during 2021-2026 were aimed at implementing the priority tasks of the state educational policy in the context of the development of higher education in Ukraine. In 2025, the Institute successfully passed state certification, confirming its leading position as a scientific institution that systematically researches the problems of higher education. In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Institute is classified as the highest category - group "A". Considering that according to the results of the preliminary certification, the Institute was also classified as the highest category, the results obtained indicate the high scientific potential of the team, the important national significance of the research, their significant contribution to the formation of the policy of development of higher education in Ukraine and its European integration.

The Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, having heard the report of the director, as well as the participants in the discussion, decided to approve the activities of the Institute of Higher Education in the period 2021–2026.

At the same time, wishes and advice were expressed regarding cluster cooperation with the institutes of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and higher education institutions of the country, to intensify activities to increase publications in publications indexed in the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science; to intensify work on including the Institute′s periodic scientific professional publications in the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science; to support and motivate young scientists; timely filling of vacant positions, deepening cooperation with higher education institutions and scientific institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
