On September 7, 2026, elections of Director of V. Sukhomlynsky State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine were held.

31 (100%) of the 31 full-time scientific workers of the Library took part in the elections.

8 voters voted for the candidacy of Andriy Georgiyovich Guralyuk, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, which is 26% of the votes of the scientific workers present at the elections.

17 voters voted for the candidacy of Larysa Oleksandrivna Ponomarenko, Candidate of Sciences in Social Communications, which is 55% of the votes of the scientific workers present at the elections.

5 voters voted for the candidacy of Hanna Mykolaivna Romanova, Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogic Sciences, Professor, which is 16% of the votes of the scientific workers present at the elections.

1 ballot paper – invalid.

In accordance with clause 46 of the Regulations of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine “On the procedure for hiring and dismissing the head, deputy head for scientific work and scientific secretary of a scientific institution of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine”, the Department of Philosophy of Education, General and Preschool Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine submitted a proposal to the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine regarding the appointment of Larysa Oleksandrivna Ponomarenko to the position of Director of V. Sukhomlynsky State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine, as she received more than 50 percent of the votes of scientific workers present at the elections.
