On April 9–10, 2026 an International Conference “Conference on Humanitarian Action, Remedy and Responsibility in a Unilateral Sanctions Environment”, organized with the participation of the United Nations Organization was held in Geneva (Swiss Confederation) at the Palais des Nations
The event was attended by Olga Prosina, Director of the Centre for Postgraduate Education at the State Higher Education Institution “University of Educational Management” of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, PhD in Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professor.
The Conference brought together international experts, representatives of the academic community, state institutions and the civil society sector to discuss the humanitarian, socio-economic and political aspects of contemporary global challenges.
During the panel discussions, a wide range of distinct approaches to analyzing the impact of sanctions policy in different countries and contexts was presented. Participation in the event provided an opportunity to engage in international professional dialogue and present Ukraine’s experience in the context of full-scale war.
During her participation in the interactive dialogue, Olga Prosina focused on the humanitarian dimension of contemporary challenges, emphasizing the importance of international support, the safety of the civilian population and accountability for decision-making in a global context.
Participation in the conference contributed to:
- expanding international professional contacts;
- enhancing the visibility of the University and Ukraine’s academic and research community at the international level;
- exchanging experience in the field of crisis response;
- analyzing contemporary international approaches to humanitarian policy.
The experience gained will be used in the University’s future research, educational and project activities, in particular in the development of professional development programmes, the preparation of academic publications and the advancement of international cooperation.
