On  April 3, 2026, the General Meeting of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine was held with the agenda “Report on the Activities of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in 2025 and Tasks for 2026”.

The Plenary session of the Meeting was preceded by meetings of the Departments of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, at which the results and achievements of the scientific activities of the Academy’s research institutions, as well as the Academy’s staff, were presented.

Presentations at the Departmental meetings were given by Academicians-Secretaries Svitlana Sysoieva, Vitalii Panok, Oleksandr Lyashenko, Nellia Nychkalo and Petro Saukh.

A summary of the Report, and a bibliographic guide to scientific output ready for implementation have been published on the NAES’ website.

The Plenary session was opened by Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. The Meeting began with a minute’s silence, announced by the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, in honour of all defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence in the struggle against the aggressor during the war.

Vasyl Kremen emphasised the importance of the work carried out by the scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the staff of the Academy’s research institutions, who during these difficult times of large-scale invasion, continue to work tirelessly, maintaining the optimal state of education in the country through their activities and responding to the challenges of wartime.

The President presented a report to the meeting, in which he briefly outlined the activities of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in 2025, cited key performance indicators, and set out the areas of focus for the coming year 2026.
