On March 24, 2026, the G.S. Kostyuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine held its annual scientific report session entitled “On the Results of Research Work at the G.S. Kostyuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine”.
The plenary session was devoted to the presentation and discussion of the main results of fundamental and applied scientific research carried out at the Institute during 2023–2025 (completion date – 2025).
The scientific session was opened by Oleg Kokun, Director of the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Full Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Psychology, Professor, who welcomed the session participants to this significant scientific event.
A welcoming address was delivered by Vitalyi Panok, Acting Academician-Secretary of the Department of Psychology and Special Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Full Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Psychology, Professor, who analysed current trends in the development of psychological research in Ukraine and highlighted the role of the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine within this context.

Presentation by the Institute at the annual summit of the American Psychological Association on March 2, 2026 (Division 19 Society for Military Psychology) “Understanding Willingness to Fight: Motivation and Personality Predictors in Ukrainian Military Personnel with and without Combat Experience’;
Narrative as a Resource for Developing Life Skills in Conditions of Uncertainty;
Characteristics of Psychological Resilience in Older Pre-school Children;
Psychological Patterns of Existential-Value-Based Educational Dialogue as a Strategy for Shaping Schoolchildren’s Military Identity;
Psychological Techniques for Assisting Internally Displaced Persons in Overcoming the Psychotraumatic Effects of Wartime and the Post-War Period;
Adaptive Resources of Secondary School Pupils for Overcoming the Consequences of War;
Psychological Prerequisites for Post-Traumatic Growth among Military Personnel Who Have Participated in Combat Operations.
During the Plenary Session, a lively academic discussion took place, which provided an opportunity to identify promising areas of psychological research at the Institute during this difficult time for our country, and to substantiate the content and methods of providing psychological support and assistance to those involved in the educational process, the general public, military personnel and their families in wartime conditions.
On March 25, 2026, the Reporting Scientific Session of the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educationcal Sciences of Ukraine continued its work in the format of practice-oriented masterclasses.
