On October 2 and 3, on the eve of the Day of the Education Worker, the 1st International Conference “I-Teach 2025. Innovative Approaches to Teacher Training and Professional Development” was held, outlining the prospects for continuous pedagogical education, in which scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine took part.

The organizer of the event was the Academy of Teacher Training of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The co-organizers of the Conference were: the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with the universities of Warwick (Great Britain), Helsinki (Finland), the School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the University of Warsaw, with the support of the British Council Ukraine, EdCamp Ukraine, International Inclusion Foundation.

The participants of the conference were welcomed by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi, who emphasized that without a teacher, the development of education is impossible, while education is the basis for the creation of human capital, and therefore the development of the country. Therefore, education is next to the military sphere. Motivation for the teaching profession, the culture of educational institutions, the corporate environment, and the management of educational institutions are the main priorities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. And in education, the development of creative potential, intellectual abilities of the individual, which is the basis of the existence of the Ukrainian nation.

Academician Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, outlined innovation as the driving force of modern progress, a feature of the modern way of life and activity. The scientist emphasized the need to form a teacher with innovative thinking, the ability to innovate, which is a prerequisite for competitiveness in the conditions of humanity′s transition to an innovative type of progress, noting that it is such a teacher who is capable of creating innovations in his own activities and cultivating these necessary traits in students.
