On August 5, Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the NGO "National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine"was signed.

The Parties agreed on the need to continue reforming education and science, implementing state policy in the field of ensuring the quality of higher education, as well as educating youth at the latest stage of state-building on the principles of humanism, democracy, freedom, tolerance, academic integrity, based on respect, honour and dignity of every citizen of Ukraine. They also expressed their belief that cooperation will contribute to a more effective implementation of the achievements of domestic science into the system of ensuring the quality of education and will be aimed at promoting the best achievements in the field of education, in particular higher education, and science.

The Parties see common interests in establishing and expanding cooperation with scientific institutions and higher education institutions of foreign countries and international organizations in the field of higher education, integrating the domestic education and science system into the European and global scientific and educational spaces, taking into account the best foreign and national practices.

The Memorandum is concluded on the basis of the principles of mutual understanding, mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The cooperation involves establishing a dialogue with the public and creating conditions for citizens to participate in the process of implementing state policy in the field of ensuring the quality of higher education, increasing integrity in higher education, preventing and combating corruption. It is expected that representatives of the Parties will be involved in the established procedure in carrying out expert and consulting activities, participating in the study of issues of organizing educational and scientific and methodological work, using scientific, pedagogical and scientific and pedagogical personnel, increasing the prestige of the teaching profession, etc.

The memorandum was signed by Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Philosophy, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, and Stanislav Tabachnikov, President of the NGO "National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine", Doctor of Sciences in Medicine, Professor, Honoured Doctor of Ukraine.
