On August 2, 2023, a meeting of the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Academician Vasyl Kremen and representatives of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine took place.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Ukraine and Moldova Mr. Nguyen Hong Thach, First Secretary of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine Mr. Nguyen Cao Kiong, Honorary Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine Mr. Andriy Gorchakov, First Vice- president of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Lugovyi, vice-president, director of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Oleg Topuzov, deputy head of the department of scientific and managerial personnel and international scientific relations of the Presidium of the Academy of National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Paraska Dotsenko.

During the meeting, it was discussed establishing cooperation in the field of education and science, educational training of Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and interest.

Representatives of the Vietnamese side visited the Scientific and Information Centre of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, where they got acquainted with the history of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, national educational and pedagogical traditions, as well as unique works of Ukrainian scientists and relevant publications of the period of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

During the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine to Vietnam in February 2003, an Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam on cooperation in the field of education and science for the period 2003-2008 was concluded.

The Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on mutual recognition of documents on education, scientific degrees and academic titles was concluded on November 4, 2004.
