On 16 March 2026, elections were held for the post of Director of the Institute of Education Problems of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. 

Forty-nine (84%) of the Institute’s 58 full-time research staff took part in the election. 

Forty-eight voters cast their ballots for Ruslan Vasylovych Malynoshevsky, PhD in Pedagogic Sciences and Senior Research Fellow, representing 98% of the votes cast by the research staff present at the election. One voter cast – for the candidacy of Igor Stepanovich Popovich, Doctor of Sciences in Psychology, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, which constitutes 2% of the votes of the research staff present at the election. 

Following the election results, Ruslan Vasylovych Malynoshevsky was elected Director of the Institute of Education Problems of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
