Now the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is developing the new law of Ukraine "On Education", which will include 12-year schooling. As you know, we already went to this, but by forces the former Education Minister Dmitry Tabachnik reform curled. However, the minimum period of study in secondary education by UNESCO decision should be 11 years. According to the Institute of Pedagogy, in 20 EU countries this period is 12 years, in 17 - 13 years, and in  two of them - 14 years (France and Romania). The benefit of such study is that, in the last two or three years, students, along with gain knowledge, acquire certain profession. That is, after graduating from school, they can immediately seek employment (enterprises, institutions and organizations work with schools, preparing professionals).
