On November 18, 2014, in the National Pedagogical University named after M.P.Dragomanov there was a meeting of the Executive Committee of the NGO "Sport Students` Union of Ukraine". The main attention was paid to the preparing of the national students’ team  to the XXVI World Winter Universiade-2015.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for Physical Education and Sport of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Mikhailo Melnik.

Sport Students` Union Chairman Vasyl Kremen presented a gold medal toDmitry Kosenko, gold medalist of the Summer Universiade in Kazan, Belt Wrestling in the weight category up to 62 kg. (In 2013, Dmitry won the second place, but because of disqualification the opponenthe automatically became a gold medalist).

At the end of the meeting Vasyl Kremen proposed to overview the composition of the executive committee of the Sport Students` Union of Ukraine. By decision of the members of the Union the executive committee members were newly admitted: Chairman of Physical Education and Sport Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, member of the NOC of Ukraine Mikhail Melnik, Rector of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine Yevhen Imas and Vyacheslav Gamow.

Chairman of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the  Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Mikhailo Melnik said that today still do not know the final composition of the team that will represent Ukraine at the Winter Universiade-2015, but expressed hope that this year Ukrainian sport stars will show a master class at the Universiade.
