Zygmunt Wiatrowski (14.04.1928 – 26.06.2025) – Doctor of Humanities (Habilitation) in Pedagogy, Professor of Humanities. Professor of the Institute of Pedagogy of the Higher School of Humanities and Economics in Włocławek.

 Member of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. For many years he was a member of the Main Council of Science and the Higher School of Pedagogical Sciences, expert of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Poland.

Co-author of the idea of ​​labor pedagogy as a scientific subdiscipline (together with T.V. Nowacki and S. Kaczor), a well-known scientist in the field of andragogy.

Author of over 600 works, including 20 individual monographs, 17 textbooks, including a textbook and dictionary on labor pedagogy (in 4 volumes).

Contributed to the development of Polish-Ukrainian scientific cooperation.

He took an active part in the organization and holding of Ukrainian-Polish / Polish-Ukrainian scientific forums.

He was awarded numerous awards of the Republic of Poland, distinctions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

The title of Honorary Doctor of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine was awarded on February 22, 2007.
