Congratulations to the BIÑPE student on winning the International Student Research Paper Competition

Congratulations to Marta Klymchuk, a graduate of the Bila Tserkva Institute of Continuing Professional Education of the Higher Educational Institution "UMO" of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, on winning the International Student Research Paper Competition in the specialty 051 "Economics".

On June 6, 2025, the final conference of the International Student Research Paper Competition in the specialty 051 "Economics" was held at the Department of Economics of the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. The competition was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.

The International Student Research Paper Competition has been held at the Kremenchuk National University for the ninth year in a row, since 2017. Every year, more and more participating countries join it, and the event is gaining more and more importance in the professional environment. In 2022, the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO decided to grant the competition patronage - this indicates recognition of its significance at the state level.

110 student scientific works by 170 authors (of which 136 are from Ukraine, 34 are foreigners) from 62 higher education institutions (of which 36 are Ukrainian, 24 are foreign) were submitted to the competition.

In total, representatives from 14 countries took part in the International Competition of Scientific Works in the specialty 051 "Economics": Poland, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Germany, the Czech Republic, China, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Latvia, France, Italy, the USA, Portugal and Ukraine.

The work of the International Competition in the specialty 051 "Economics" was carried out in four thematic areas: Economics and Management of the National Economy; Economics and Business Management; International Economics; Economic and legal challenges of the 21st century: globalization, digitalization and technology.

Based on the results of the double anonymous review and the Final Meeting of the International Competition of Scientific Papers in the specialty 051 "Economics", the competition committee recognized Marta Klymchuk as the winner and awarded a diploma of the 2nd degree, a first-year graduate of the educational degree "Master" in the specialty 011 "Educational, Pedagogical Sciences" of the Bila Tserkva Institute of Continuing Professional Education. The topic of the scientific paper: "QUALIFICATION GAP IN UKRAINE′S LABOR MARKET UNDER WARTIME CONDITIONS". Scientific supervisor Lidiia Horoshkova, Doctor of Sciences in Economics, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Management of the Bila Tserkva Institute of Continuing Professional Education of the Higher Educational Institution "UMO" of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

82 applicants-authors of the works were also recognized as winners of the Competition and awarded (of which 61 are Ukrainian; 21 are foreign).

The scientific work analysed the dynamics of the labour market, which indicates a steady trend towards a decrease in the number of employed people. An assessment of the structure of demand and supply in the labour market by types of economic activity and professional groups shows a surplus in the labour market of the economically active population, which associates itself with the following areas of the economy: agriculture, trade and repair of vehicles, and public administration. The results of the study showed that the current problem of the national labour market and the existing imbalance between the supply of labour and demand for it is the mismatch of the volumes and areas of vocational training with the needs of the labour market, the insufficient level of vocational education, the imperfect state and regional order for the training of working personnel, the lack of effective interaction between stakeholders, and the lack of motivation of young people to obtain working professions.

The scientific work was carried out within the framework of the scientific research work of the BINPO on the topic: “Labour market trend watching in the system of training and advanced training of specialists in the conditions of post-war recovery of Ukraine” (RK0122U202007, 2022-2025)”.

The members of the Competition jury noted the extremely high level of the presented scientific works, the relevance of the researched issues, and the significance of the results obtained by the authors.

Despite all the difficulties of our present, Ukrainian youth actively participates in such large-scale scientific events, cooperates with foreign colleagues, exchanges experience and confidently steps towards a bright and victorious future!

We wish Marta Klymchuk and her scientific supervisor further scientific and professional achievements.
