On May 21, the VI All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Professional Pre-Higher and Vocational Education: Theory, Methodology, Practice" was held.

The organizers of the Conference are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Professional Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the Scientific and Methodological Centre for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education.

The purpose of the Conference is to exchange experience and discuss topical issues of organizing the educational process at institutions of professional pre-higher and vocational education in the face of modern challenges and threats, namely: management of innovative activities of an educational institution; digitalization of the educational process; digital competence of teachers; cooperation of educational institutions with employers.

Vasyl Kremen, the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, delivered a report "Professional Pre-Higher Education: Current State and Prospects".

Vasyl KREMEN also presented awards to 12 winners of the annual All-Ukrainian Competition “Pedagogical Oscar”, which traditionally takes place within the framework of the Conference.

In January 2025, 943 competitive works from 163 institutions of professional pre-higher education were submitted to the final round of the competition in 12 nominations.

This year, pedagogical workers from 11 institutions of professional pre-higher education made their debut in the competition.

In total, according to the results of the competition, the final round awarded the authors of the competition works from 82 institutions of professional pre-higher education.

The highest award of the competition - the Pedagogical OSCAR - was received by 13 competition works, and 127 competition works were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees.

The competition has been held since 2018 with the aim of studying and disseminating the experience of innovative activities, promoting the professional development of teachers, improving the efficiency of the educational process, the quality of education and in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the State Institution "Scientific and Methodological Centre of Higher and Professional Pre-higher Education". This year the competition was held for the eighth time.

Over the eight years of the competition, more than 8,000 works from 200 institutions of professional pre-higher education have been submitted. In order to present the best pedagogical experience, a virtual exhibition of winners is held annually, which is a reference point for creative teachers of institutions of professional pre-higher education.
