On May 12, 2025, the first meeting of the Working Group on the Formation of the Roadmap for Ukraine′s Integration into the European Research Area for 2025–2027 was held. The Working Group was established by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated April 30, 2025 No. 656. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in an online format. The Working Group is headed by Hryhoriy Mozolevych, the Director General of the Directorate for the Development of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

As a representative of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Olena Lokshina, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Comparative Pedagogy of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, took part in the meeting of the Working Group. The meeting was attended by representatives of central executive authorities, the National and sectoral academies of sciences, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, structural divisions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Scientific Advisor of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Yegor Pyvovarov, as well as partners from the European Commission – Frederik Sondergaard, Policy Specialist of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission and Carolina Canibano, an expert of the European Commission, who presented the concept of the second Political Agenda of the European Research Area for 2025–2027. The development of the new Roadmap is designed to consistently strengthen the national ecosystem of science and innovation; ensure compliance with EU policies and standards; create conditions for full participation in joint EU programs and projects; increase the international visibility of Ukraine as a partner in the implementation of the European Research Area policy. The next meeting to discuss the draft document is scheduled for June.
