On May 15, a Memorandum on Cooperation between the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Kherson State Maritime Academy was signed.

The solemn signing procedure took place before the meeting of the Presidium of the NAES of Ukraine.

The parties noted the need to reform education and science, to support innovative projects, national and military-patriotic, legal and environmental education of youth at the latest stage of state building on the principles of humanism, democracy, freedom, tolerance, based on respect, honour and dignity of every citizen of Ukraine.

The memorandum aims to expand and deepen cooperation, which involves the exchange of information and reference materials, analytical information and scientific publications, and holding joint scientific and practical events. This will contribute to the training of competitive specialists to ensure the social and economic development of the state through the formation of human capital.

The Memorandum shall enter into force on the date of its signing and shall be valid for five years. By mutual consent of the Parties, its validity may be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods.

The Memorandum was signed by Vasyl Kremen, the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and Viktor Gusev, the Rector of the Kherson State Maritime Academy.
