On April 28,  All -Ukrainian training seminar was held at the Institute of Professional Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in the framework of the World Occupational Safety Day, initiated by the International Labour Organization, under the slogan "Revolutionary Approaches to Health and Security: the Role of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization at Work". This year′s subject emphasizes the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on working conditions and safety of employees′ professional activity. The event was attended by representatives of 45 institutions and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, and more than 300 teachers of disciplines "Life Safety" and "Occupational Safety" of Professional (Vocational) Education Institutions from all regions of Ukraine.

The greeting speech was made by the Director of the Institute of Professional Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogy, Professor, Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Valentina Radkevich, who emphasized the importance of labour protection in the conditions of global transformations and increasing risks for the health of workers, as well as integration of professional education. This covers not only basic safety disciplines, but also the development of critical thinking, the ability to assess risks, self-defense skills and responsible health management in the workplace. The role of teachers in this process is key - they should be the leaders of new approaches, a source of motivation and an example of a responsible attitude to labour safety. The formation of such competences should be a priority for educational institutions in the conditions of martial law and post-war restoration of Ukraine.

The Seminar also discussed the key challenges in the field of labour protection in the conditions of war, the issue of ensuring the safety of workers in workplace, introducing new approaches to risk management, digitalization of labour protection processes and maintaining mental health of workers of labour collectives. The training seminar has aroused great interest in creating safe and healthy working conditions, where everyone will be able to realize themselves without pointing their lives for danger. He gave reason to think again what a major role is played by the safety culture in every field of professional activity.
