On March 14, 2025, Head of the Department of Comparative Pedagogy of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Olena Lokshyna, as a representative of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine as part of the  delegation from the Ukrainian side, participated (online) in a bilateral meeting between the European Commission and Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine - Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanyshyna.

At the meeting, Ukraine (as part of the official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law under negotiating chapter 25 "Science and Research") presented the scientific and research policy and ecosystem; innovation ecosystem; anti-corruption measures in the field of research and science outlined further plans to harmonize with EU guidelines. The European Commission plans to publish a report on the results of the screening under negotiating chapter 25 "Science and Research" in early June 2025.
