In response to the request of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine to the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Audrey Azoulay (letter dated May 6, 2024 No. 2-6/239) concerning the renewal of the Agreement between UNESCO and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine to renew the mandate of the UNESCO Chair "Lifelong Professional Education in the 21st Century" of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine at the Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education, a letter (dated November 7, 2024 ID 2016UA1214) was received from Mr. Sobhi Tawil (PhD), Director of the Future of Learning and Innovation Division, on UNESCO′s positive decision to renew the mandate of the UNESCO Chair "Lifelong Professional Education in the 21st Century" of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine until December 31, 2028.

The letter states that “Under the leadership of the Chairholder Professor Halyna Sotska, and the Co-chairholder Professor Kyryl Kotun, the Chair will contribute to advance UNESCO’s ongoing endeavors to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Recognizing the pivotal role of institutional support in ensuring the success of the UNESCO Chair, we seek your commitment, in this new mandate, to facilitate the active engagement of the Chair’s team in various UNESCO activities and those organized by its partner institutions, as well as to leverage opportunities for interuniversity collaboration, and to champion knowledge sharing and dissemination activities.”
