On April 21, 2022, a Meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine was held, at which the issue "On cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in martial law" was considered. Members of the Presidium of the NAES of Ukraine heard and discussed the information of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet on the activities of the Ministry under martial law, imposed and extended by decrees of the President of Ukraine of February 24, 2022 № 64 and March 14, 2022 № 133 in connection with large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and cooperation with the NAES of Ukraine in these conditions. The Presidium of the NAES of Ukraine approved and expressed support for timely comprehensive efforts of the MES of Ukraine aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of educational and scientific activitiesto accelerate the victory, functioning and development of science and education, economy in all regions of our country.

The Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine emphasized the further implementation of the reforms in the field of preschool, general secondary, professional (vocational), professional prehigher and higher education and adult education, development of basic and applied research, experimental development in education, pedagogy and psychology, outlined in the Joint Action Program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2021-2023, under martial law and postwar.
