On November 4, 2021, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine hosted the First All-Ukrainian Pedagogical Readings, dedicated to the memory of Oleksandra Savchenko - a prominent figure, scientist, organizer of science and education. The participants of the event - teachers, professors, scientists, students from different regions of our country - shared their thoughts and memories related to the figure of Oleksandra Savchenko.

Warm memories of an unusually bright and wise person, an outstanding professional revealed the versatility of Oleksandra Savchenko - Ukrainian teacher, founding academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogy, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Honorary Professor of many higher education institutions in Ukraine, expert in the field of general pedagogy and didactics of primary school. Her high professionalism, humanity, honesty, decency, organization and diligence was mentioned by Vasyl Kremen, the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the First Vice President Volodymyr Luhovyy, Vice President, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Oleh Topuzov, Academician-Secretary of the General Secondary Education Department of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Lyashenko, Scientific Secretary of this department Yuriy Malyovanyy, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Olga Sukhomlynska.

Pedagogical readings dedicated to the memory of Oleksandra Savchenko should become annual. The NAES of Ukraine plans to establish a medal named after Oleksandra Savchenko, which will be awarded to those scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of primary education in Ukraine.
