On October 19, 2021, as part of the visit of the Director of the Representation of the Institute of International Education in Ukraine and the Office of the Fulbright Program, Dr. Jessica Zychowicz to the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Ms. Zychowicz met with young scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. During the meeting, she presented opportunities for study and internships at US universities, which are opened by the Fulbright Program. Ms. Jessica Zychowicz spoke about the specifics of competitive selection for these programs, and answered questions of participants of the event, which was held on the initiative of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAES of Ukraine in cooperation with the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
For reference: The Fulbright Program is a research exchange program in the United States of America, sponsored by the State Department, and a prominent player in the international education system. The basic idea of the program is an interaction and mutual understanding, based on knowledge and respect for a diverse world. It has been operating since 1946. It exists in 155 countries.
During the 25 years of the Program′s existence in Ukraine, more than 1,000 Ukrainians studied, did internships, and conducted research in the United States; almost 700 Americans taught in Ukrainian universities and engaged in scientific work.
