The opening of the All-Ukrainian Preschool Week on September 20-24, 2021 took place.

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy SHKARLET, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Serhiy BABAK, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Early Development and Preschool Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Volodymyr VORONOV spoke at the solemn meeting. Mikaela BAUER, Deputy Head of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine, Vasyl KREMEN, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Alla BOHUSH, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and other officials.

Welcoming the esteemed society, Vasyl Kremen said in particular: “The happy life of our beautiful children will largely depend on what kind of preschool they will have. Because it is at this age that a person′s traits and values ​​are laid down, which he will profess all his life.

It is extremely gratifying that in Ukrainian society human development, child development is increasingly valued. Human development, on the one hand, is an indicator of the progressiveness of any society, and on the other - a developed person - the main lever of social progress, especially in the age of scientific and information technology.

We see attention to the growing education in the state, and it is very gratifying that the attention to preschool is growing. This is the movement of society in the right direction.

But a lot needs to be done in preschool. I will say only a few important ones

To a greater extent to achieve public awareness of the importance of preschool in human life, the importance of child development in early and preschool age.

We should take care of the network of preschool educational institutions - public, communal and private. Everyone will find their own niche.

To pay more attention to the financial security of those who work in preschool education. Only in this way we will be able to attract the best graduates of pedagogical universities to work in out-of-school educational institutions.

Preschool is closely connected with the family. Here a lot depends on the pedagogical culture of parents, and I would say that - the pedagogization of society, ie the provision of knowledge and technology, fatherhood, the preparation of young people for fatherhood - plays an extremely important role.

Of course, scientific and methodological support of preschool education. I will note that a lot has been done by scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. But in Ukraine there should be the only perfect center for the development of preschool children. On Thursday, it was decided to establish such a scientific institution within the NAES of Ukraine. I am grateful for the support of the Academy from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.

The child′s psychology is different now - this should be taken into account in textbooks, programs, education, etc.

Preschoolers, you are doing a sacred thing! You really secure the future of Ukraine! ”
