During the celebrations on Independence Square on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine′s Independence, outstanding Ukrainians were awarded. Among those who received the award from the President of Ukraine was the President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine (2000-2005), Academician Vasyl KREMEN.

Paying tribute to the citizenship, patriotism, professionalism and human qualities of Vasyl Kremen, the Head of the State presented Vasyl Kremen with the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the III degree.
