On March 18, 2021, the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical seminar "School Mathematical Education and Giftedness" was held. It was organized by the Institute of Gifted Child of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. A wide audience was united by the Year of Mathematics in Ukraine and the common desire to develop our state, in particular the search for talented youth, the nurturing of the intellectual elite of the independent Ukraine.

The purpose of the Seminar: discussion of pedagogical problems of giftedness development and the place of mathematics in education of gifted people; presentation of methods and forms of involvement of gifted children and youth in research activities; presentation of innovative forms of work with gifted pupils and students at higher education institutions.

The issues of the Seminar: forms and methods of work with gifted students in the process of learning mathematics; current issues of STEM education and talent; functions of the teacher in the development of talent; support of gifted pupils and students: modern practices.
