On December 5, 2020, Head of the Royal House of Portugal Duarte Pio, Duke of Braganza, honored Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine (2000-2005), Doctor of Sciences in Philosophy, Professor, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine and the NAES of Ukraine. 

For significant contribution to the development of human sciences, the formation of modern education and the deepening of European integration processes in education and science, Head of the Royal House of Portugal Duarte Pio, Duke de Braganza awarded Academician Vasyl Kremen the  Order of Saint Michael of the Wing and the Order of the Immaculate Conception of Vila Viçosa (also known as The Order of Our Lady of Conception of Vila Vicosa).
