Dear colleagues! Dear friends!

Today, November 10, is the World Science Day for Peace and Development. It seems that in the XXI century no one needs to be convinced that science is the basis of human progress, social well-being, personal benefit of each person. But all new challenges of civilizational development require scientists and science to expand cooperation, global coverage of the problems of development of countries and the planet as a whole, a more balanced development of scientific fields.

That is why millennia ago the initiative of the World Science Forum, later supported by the General Conference of UNESCO, to establish the World Science Day was announced. And this day was first celebrated in the world in 2002. In Ukraine - since 2013 at the initiative of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine.

Let us recall, at least briefly, the progress of pedagogical and psychological sciences over the years of the NAES of Ukraine. Educational literature for pupils and teachers of general secondary schools (including special children), pupils and teachers of vocational education, students and teachers of higher educational institutions of the independent Ukraine,  concepts and theories of personality development, talent, children with special needs, media education, leadership, adults education, support of educational reforms, teaching aids based on information and communication technologies, exchange of international scientific experience through joint scientific publications, seminars, conferences and associations - this is just the tip of the iceberg of scientific achievements and achievements of scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

Now scientists face new tasks - to draw the attention of the general public to the problems of development and support of science, to raise awareness of the general public about the role of science for peaceful and sustainable development of societies, further development of international scientific relations for progressive action of communities and countries.

Dear colleagues! Science in general and every scientist in particular have always faced difficult and large-scale tasks. So I wish you inspiration, confidence in the future, conviction in the invincibility of advanced scientific thought!
