On June 20, 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine approved the professional standards - "Master of Vocational (Industrial) Training", "Teacher of Vocational Training" and "Methodologist of Vocational (Technical) Education", developed at the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

Employees of the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in fruitful cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, institutions of vocational, prehigher and higher education, educational (scientific) - methodological centers of vocational education, NGOs, personnel management processed information on the functions performed by teachers for specific types of work, subjects and means of their work, as well as - the requirements for knowledge, skills and abilities of specialists, their qualifications, education and work experience; studied the provisions of current regulations, regulatory and technical documents on the content and quality of professional activity. As a result of the functional analysis, a list of labor functions, actions and operations was compiled, which was subject to expert evaluation and public discussion.
