On October 24-25, 2017 the visiting session of the Verhovna Committee on Science and Education was held in Donetsk Region with the agenda «On the practice of applying legislative and other normative and legal acts which concern functioning of the educational sphere in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions during the anti-terrorist operation» (in Donetsk, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk). The Deputy Director for scientific work of the Institute of Vocational Education and Training of NAES of Ukraine, Doctor of Science in Education, Professor H.M Romanova took part in the session. The speech holders were the first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education O.V. Spivakovsky, the first Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine V.V. Kovtunets, the chairman of the Donetsk regional state administration P.I. Zhebrovsky, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Donetsk Military-Civil Administration N.V. Oksenchuk. Participating in the discussion, H.M. Romanova noted, that in the context of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine «On Education», according to Article 75 of it the National Academy of Educational Sciences and its institutions including the Institute of Vocational Education and Training are bodies ensuring scientific and methodological support of education. She described the provided by the Institute of Vocational Education and Training scientific and methodological support of the educational sphere in the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions in the conditions of the anti-terrorist operation and mentioned the directions of its improvement.
