On December 1, 2020, at the initiative of Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the 18th International Pedagogical and Artistic Readings in Memory of Professor O.P. Rudnytska "Continuing pedagogical education in Ukraine and abroad: experience, innovations, trends" was held.

Co-organizers of this significant event for the educational community were: Department of Professional and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine,

UNESCO Chair on Lifelong Professional Education in the XXI Century, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania), Stefan Batory State Higher Education Institution in Skierniewice (Poland), Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National UniversityYuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Kyiv Professional and Pedagogical College named after Anton Makarenko.

The purpose of the Readings was to exchange experience on the problems of implementation of reform changes in the field of art and pedagogical education, related to the accreditation of educational programs in institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education; determination of priorities in the direction of updating the content, forms, methods, technologies of teacher training, professional, taking into account national achievements and foreign experience.

Problems of Readings were differentiated by areas: philosophical-axiological and andragogical principles of pedagogical education; pedagogical education in Ukraine: tendencies and prospects of reform; art education in the dimensions of modern modernization changes; foreign experience of teachers  training: theory and practice; pedagogical skill as a system of professional and artistic competencies; museum pedagogy - problems, present, prospects.

The online meeting was attended by more than 80 participants, including teachers of general and out-of-school education, lecturers of pedagogical universities, methodologists of institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education, doctoral students, graduate students, undergraduates, students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
